Mowbray First School - Beech Class

Beech class is full of lively Year 1 children. We are 5 and 6 years old and our teacher is called Miss Holdsworth.

In our class we love to talk and come up with lots of good ideas about our work.

Talking to each other about our ideas.
Children working in our post office role play.

This year we have been learning about Florence Nightingale, enjoyed receiving letters from fairytale characters, learning about our local area and finding out all about the Great Fire of London.

Our role play area has been a hospital,
a shop when we made things to sell at our Christmas Fayre and a post office.

We are now enjoying it being a pet shop!

Now we are learning all about Minibeasts.  Our minibeast hunt around school was great fun and we saw lots of worms, slugs and spiders.

We have already enjoyed making junk models of minibeasts.  We also had fun getting our hands dirty and making some out of clay!
