Welcome to Cherry Class

Welcome to Cherry Class.  We are a group of hard working Year 2 children. Our teacher is called Mrs Waters.
In our class, there are many experts. We call upon each other when we need a helping hand.

Each week we have a session of Big Writing in school. We are all trying very hard to use wow words and write super sentences. We turn on our special lights. Each week we write about something different. What will next week bring?

On World Book Day we were lucky to have an author in school called Tommy Donbavand. He has written some stories called Scream Street. If you would like to find out more about him click on the link below.

During the year we find out many interesting and new things. So far we have found out about Florence Nightingale and the work she did. Just before Christmas we made many items to sell at a Christmas Fayre. Everyone made a yummy Christmas cake too! In the Spring term, everyone wrote letters, made posters and designed leaflets about our homes and environment. Cherry Class found out how The Great Fire of London started and enjoyed a wonderful visit by Blue Watch from the local Fire Brigade.
