We are a class of hard working Year 4 children
and our teacher
is called Mrs Quinn.
Throughout the year we take part in lots of exciting activities as part of our topic work.
Our topics for this year are:
Improving the Environment
Overseas study of India
The Ancient Greeks
Transport
and
The Living World. |
As part of our India topic, we designed and made a range of Indian arts and crafts and sold them during a coffee afternoon.
The items ranging from diva lamps to Indian sweets to Rangoli book marks were very popular with parents and pupils.
We were also fortunate enough to learn Indian Banghra dancing.
A teacher called Ravinda Cheema spent the day with Key Stage 2 teaching us all different Indian dances.
We performed our dances to other classes and parents at the end of the day.
We had a great time! |
During our Ancient Greek topic we found out about Greek Pottery from an artist called Graham Tailor.
He talked to us about the different types of Greek pots and what they were used for.
Graham then showed us how the pots were made and explained to us how to make our
own pots.
Look how hard we are concentrating.
Can you guess what it is yet? |
In Oak Class we do lots of art.
